Sorry to have been AWOL from the blog. We've had some server issues that needed dealing with - all is back to normal - and I've been spending some more time at home lately, watching this kitty:
She was diagnosed with asthma recently and it's been a long haul to try to figure out medications, inhalers, triggers and the right foods. I now know more than I've ever wanted to know about feline asthma, so if you ever need information in that department, I'm your girl. :)
Things are still humming away at the shop. I've been busy checking out all the new yarns for fall, and thinking about buttons and kits... Bianca, our intern, has prepared a little post to introduce herself that you'll be seeing next week along with a series on color theory! It's really interesting for me to hear her thoughts on color and color combinations since she comes at the topics from the viewpoint of a weaver and dyer. I guess I'd never really thought about it, but I think my approach to color combinations is more "well that works" rather than a logical progression based on a theory. She also has some great ideas about taking color groupings from nature that makes me want to get out there and take some pictures to knit from. So, be on the lookout for those in the coming weeks too.
